Okay so I’ve been riding my bike ALOT lately this spring break… yesterday I rode it for five hours straight and the day before I rode it for six hours straight. If I continue doing this, what will be my results?? Since I’m riding my bike so much, will it be easier to run long distances now? How much am I increasing my stamina? What muscles are toned down when you ride a bike? What part of the body does it help? Any info greatly appreciated!!!
Lets say the front tire. If it blows is ther absolutely no way of staying up? How much does it depend upon your speed? I’ve ridden in the country for two years, but then moved to L.A., and now am thinking about riding on the freeway. Will a blowout kill you?

I’ve been trying to ride my bike more often lately to lose weight, but it seems like I run out of energy really quickly. It’s usually around 100 degrees outside when I ride, and it’s in a park with a bunch of bumps and rough terrain. Usually I’m only able to bike for about half an hour before I start to feel tired.
Any suggestions on what I can do to build up stamina?

Ok so live in the pacific northwest, and if you live there you know how much it rains, so anyways i’m originally a runner but thanx to my self discipline and determination i contracted a stress fracture. so i’ve started using a bike as my exercise, i ride up and down hills constantly for 3 hours. i was wondering if using an exercise bike would be the same workout or if i should just get the hecka soaked when it rains outside.
