How long do I have to go on the elliptical to get the same workout as two miles on the treadmill?

I have been running at the gym over the winter, and I didn’ t stretch enough beofe or after (ugh huge mistake). Now I have shin splints and the arch of my foot hurts terribly after only a few minutes of running. So I have to do something with less impact: the elliptical. How long do I have to on/ at what setting to get the same workout as running two miles? Thanks=]

Trying to get a ripped six pack, Am I doing it right? How long will it take on my routine?

I burn on average 300-500 calories a day by exercising. 30 minutes on the upright bike burns 150 calories first thing in the morning before breakfast. I eat healthy, not much junk at all. On my “weights day” I do 4 circuits of 30 push ups, 30 high incline sit ups, 20 leg raises, 15 pec fly, 15 chin ups/pull ups. On a cardio day, I do my bike in the morning and 3km of running at night.

How long will it take if I stick to this routine?

please beware this exercising question is long?

I’m trying to lose weight really bad but I have very bad anxiety and don’t really leave the house and when I do leave I don’t like to be gone long so going to the local gym is out of the question I also have a hip disease and can’t work out for very long I have a recumbent bike that helps but it also hurts my butt. I have nowhere to swim cus that helps my hip. I walk my dog a few days a week but don’t go far only up and down the sidewalk and I have a workout ball and videos but they don’t motivate me please.

how long will it take for me to adjust to my bike?

I rode when i was little all the time. When my store bought huffy wasn’t good anymore i gave it up. I then started dating a guy who wanted to do some more outdoorsy stuff, so I had bought a giant. But he was all talk and i hardly used it. This year I will finally have time to bike, so to prepare I bought a new bike, a gary fisher (my ex stole my giant), an indoor trainer, and now that my dog is full grown a “walky dog” (it attaches to the bike so i can exercise her while riding).
But i’m having a problem. My “back end” is not adjusting well to the gary fisher. I have to ride upright no handed on my indoor trainer other wise the seat kills me.
Will i adjust? I know it takes some time, but it’s been about a month. Mind you I have been riding only 2-3 x a week because of my schedule this semester. I’m kind of scared i got an ill fitting bike.

How long does it take to see results?

I work out at the gym every second day. I am 5′3 and weigh 111 lbs. I do the recumbant bike for 10 minutes, treadmill for 10 minutes, and the eleliptical for 15 minutes, followed by weights for about 10 minutes. How long will it take to see results?
I don’t really think I’ll get ripped, I just want to have a flat stomoch (or close to it) and not have a double chin.

I’m going to eat something small like a boiled egg or a banana then workout for how long is 40minutes with a 10 minute break in between for starters good or not?

I’ve heard that if youuse an elliptical machine everday your body can get use to it and stop producing results. How long does it take for this to occur and how do you know when your body has gotten use to your workout?

How long would it take me to lose 35 pounds?

I am 5′1 and my weigh is 125 lbs. I want to get somewhere between 90-95 lbs. I exercise five days a week ( 1 hour on treadmill, 20 minutes on upright bikes, and 15 minutes on an elliptical machine). I am also on a low carb diet. How long would it take me to reach 90 lbs?

 

If i burn 1000 calories a day exercising, how long will it take me to loose 20 pounds ?

I just recently bought a upright stationary bike and i exercise 32 minutes on the morning and 35 minutes at night. The monitors shows i burn 500 calories for every 32 – 33 minutes i exercise. Plus i take 2 zantrex 3 pills in the morning before my morning workout.
