I see these cars go by with bicycles on the roof- upright! How do they get there.
how do the BIKES gets there- is it just guys with upper body strength or is there a pulley system involved
This bike has feature that are hard to find on many of the newer bikes. Such as Shaft drive, a gear shift indicator, and an upright seating position. It’s not a boring “standard” motorcycle (as it is classified), but it is not over the top either in the area of styling.
To me it’s like the Baby Bear’s Porrige…it’s “JUST RIGHT”!
I don’t want to buy a mountain bike. Not sure if I need a bike to lean forward on, or stay upright on. Do I need gears and all that? What should I pay for these? What brands/models should I look for?
I am looking to get an upright bike. What I am considering is a used ninja 650r, gs500f, sv650sf, gsx 650f, fz6, or another comparable bike that I haven’t listed. What others am I missing? I am looking to buy between 2 and 3 thousand so I don’t need something super nice. I don’t want to spend a lot on insurance or repairs. and, it has to look cool which is why i didn’t include the ninja 500r. What is the difference between the 3 suzuki bikes for example? are the 650sf and gsx very similar? Are there any other bikes that sit upright that I may have overlooked? am 6′1 btw
interesting. my friend has a gsx650f and I am leaning towards that, but its heavy. the gs500f is 440lbs and i know I am better off with something that has less power. and yes, full fairing is mainly what I am interested in. half would be ok but now its between the gs500f and the 650f. i wonder what sits more upright
I currently own a 14 year old Raleigh in excellent shape. The problem is that my arthritis makes any excursion over 7 or 8 miles painful to my wrists, elbows, and shoulders and I think that the rigid frame has something to do with that.
I don’t do hard core riding down mountains, insead I like to ride the Perkiomen Trail in Pennsylvania because it is mostly flat. However, there are parts of it that are gravel topped and I think the slight but steady vibration makes my arms sore after a 30 mile jaunt. I have handlebar ends that help me ride more upright but that by itself doesn’t alleviate the pain.
I have seen where bikes are now made with shock absorbing front forks and a rear shock too. I am this close to buying one but the clerk at a bike shop told me that there aren’t any American bicycle manufacturers around. I prefer to purchase American made goods for economic reasons.
Is it a fact that there aren’t any American bicycle manufacturers today?
I have had numerous problems with my bike and i would like to contact them via e-mail.
It’s a schwinn mesa and i payed about $250.00 at dicks sporting goods
I want a buy an exercise bike, looked at walmart.com and sportsauthority. but want a good quality bike with a comfortable seat. There are the upright ones which range from 100-300 (for most) and then the spinning quality bikes – around $400+. I just don’t know if it is worth it spending that kind of money? I dont’ want it to break right away. and reading reviews online doesn’t seem to help as there are a good deal of people that like the bikes and a certain few that never do, any suggestions?
I have a diamondback coil, either 2002 or 2003, and the rear suspension gave out on me while I was riding on a fairly technical downhill trail. I also noticed small black plastic pieces coming out of the front suspension fork (sr suntour) while I was walking back to the trail-head. Does this bike have a manufacturers warranty that can replace these parts?
Also I saw lately a stand up thing like a Y – shaped skateboard . Feet go one the two ’skateboard’ looking things . . .and then there’s a handle coming up to direct (like a scooter handle). It just glided along . . what is this ? Guy was going downhill . . .wonder ho it works to get up . . motorized?
I am restoring a 1975 Schwinn Le Tour for my father and I need to find replacement decals for when I paint the bike.
I’ve never ridden one but would like to buy one. From your experience, which is better.
