Raptobike Low Racer Trial

28 Nov

My first time riding a recumbent on the road – and a low-racer!

David of Laid Back Ligfiets kindly accompanied me on my normal commute to see whether the RaptoBike would be suitable for Edinburgh …

I got one of these Raptobikes last year what an awesome machine I love it. It certainly causes a stir!

That just looks like so much fun ! Makes me wish I had unlimited funds as I’d love to get myself some kind of recumbent…

Excellent test ride video! I have a trike and commute on it here in California, USA… but low-racers like that look like a lot of fun too. Makes me want to get one too… but I don’t thing the finances can be justified after buying the trike just 3 months ago!

so whats the diffference between a recumbant and a “low-racer”?

A recumbent is a general category… a bike you ride laying back feet forward. A low racer is a type of recumbent bike where the rider is between the wheels rather than above them
