2012 nibiru, is it out there(yes its ranty, deal)?

So ive heard A LOT of paranoid 2012 talk, apparently the sun is switching magnetic poles which will destroy our o zone layer and radiate our planet, our planet is going to tilt suddenly and the seasons are going to go nuts, were going to get hit by nibiru and erous…all at once it seems. Sigh, I already know the sun does its little flip every so often and earth has stuck around…eros is passing 17 million miles from earth and our planets axis has always been tilted… So my question really is: Is there any solid scientific evidence that “Nibiru” is really out there.I mean, people are like RWAR its out there and its coming and its going to crash into us. My thought is, if it is out there, and does pass every 36 000 years and wipes out all life on earth, as the 2012 people claim…how is there still life on earth, all life whipped out means ALL live whipped out, thus no chance to re produce or any such thing. Their big bit is that it crosses between us and the sun, thus they assume it will hit us (this is all assuming its real and its orbit is terribly elliptical ) but Pluto passes inbetween Neptune and Uranus all the time and they both survive it each time….so even if nibiru is real..why with all the worry? Sorry I got REALLY rambley, it just bugs me when people aren’t logical, or maybe my own logic is flawed, what do you think?

(as a note, yes I am ranting for the sake of ranting, im just curious if anyone else shares my thoughts…2012 is laughable in my oppinion)

What would the force be like between two objects of equal mass?

Lets say you have two perfectly spherical objects equal to the mass and volume of the Earth. Let’s say these two objects were one meter apart. The only force acting on these two objects are each other’s gravity.

What would the tidal forces be like? Would they cause both objects to become elliptical thus closing the 1 meter gap between them making them crash into each other and creating one giant mass?

If you were to sketch what the forces looked like would it resemble the magnetic field lines caused by iron shavings?

If I were walking on one of these masses would I be able to jump from one to the other like it were nothing? If I were to crawl between the one meter gap would I be able to push the two planets apart? Or would my mass contribute to the mass of one of the bodies thus causing the now smaller mass to become attracted to the mass I’m on?

I’m trying to understand gravity here… sorry for the confusing thought experiment.

I recently started working out again and i’m using an elliptical, my first workout I did15min and I was able to do it with no problem. I was wanting to try next time at 30 minutes and I think I can do it with no problems.

Would it be a problem for me to go ahead and go 30 minutes so soon?? I used to workout on ellipiticals and do 30 minutes at a time but it was about 6 years ago..

Treadmill vs. Elliptical?

I cant figure out which machine is better for me to use. I can never run on the tread for more than 10 minutes at a time, but i can go on the elliptical for an hour. Since I can go for such a long time on the elliptical i feel like i’m not getting a good work out. I don’t know if I should slowly build up my stamina to run longer or do a mixture of both elliptical and tread. And which machine will make me loose more weight because I don’t want to get huge thighs and legs. Let me know your suggestions!

I have been trying to diet this summer…I weighed 112 at the start and now at 117 when I was trying to LOSE 4 pounds! I will try to start an exercise or diet plan…ran five miles ONCE…burned 500 calories doing recumbent bike ONCE…did a 1200 calorie per day diet ONCE…I can’t stick to ANYTHING! I know my weight will fluctuate and will probably go down but i really want to get fit this summer..but my mom keeps buying junkfood that i really like and eat a ton of! and don’t say i’mskinny because I’m not for my height (5′4”) I really need ideas of exercising plans or dieting I can stick to! PLEASE HELP!
