Anyone Get Good Results From A Recumbent Exercise Bike?

trying to decide between a recumbent bike or an elliptical machine. I dont need to lose weight, I just need something to maintain weight and perhaps tone up my legs and buttocks.

  1. Yes I am and Im going crazy

I would use the Elliptical Machine. You get more out of it, and it’s more fun that just sitting on a bicycle. Elliptical Machines also burn more calories. Yesterday, I burned 500 in 40 minutes.
But since you’re just trying to maintain your weight, a bicycle wouldn’t be that bad of an idea. You can also do more things on it if your a busy person. Such as reading, watching television, writing, etc.
It’s all about what fits your lifestyle more, really.

I bought myself a recumbent bike about a year ago and I really don’t care for it now. I think the reason I don’t like the bike is because you sit down to workout and I don’t feel like I’m getting as much of a workout as when I’m on the elliptical. Both are great machines for maintaining weight it’s all user preferencee. Good luck
