I own a 2006 Schwinn Colliagate scooter, and I was wondering if what kind of modifications, if any, I could have performed to increase its top speed and/or acceleration. I understand that tinkering with this kind of stuff can decrease reliability, but any ideas would help. I looked at the linkage with the throttle, and the screw seems to be about as far back as it’s going to get. Any other ideas?

take the govner out
rejet your carb
put a free flowing air filter on
see if the variator is restricted, these commonly are where there is a clip that restricts the travel
the exhaust amy be restricted somewhere, either by there being a breather pipe creating a backpressure
or there may be a washer inside it somewhere
